CAN YOU SEE THE FOREST FOR THE TREES?
This artwork is made up of repurposed textiles and recycled materials that are saved from going to the landfill, but I need your help! Together, we can turn “waste” into meaningful works of art!
LEARN MOREFOUNDATION WAVE
This artwork is inspired by the world I wanted to live in as a child. I longed to connect with the people, sights, scents, and sounds from unfamiliar places. There are two parts to this artwork—a large central sculpture and a wall of profiles of people that I met during my travels.
LEARN MOREI LOVE YOU
I am an artist from Indonesia, and I enjoy creating artworks that ask people important questions about themselves and the world around them.
Look at the soft sculptures in front of you. What if I told you they spell out the words “I Love You” in Jawi - a way of writing the Malay language that was used in the past?
LEARN MORETHE MAGIC FOREST
Children draw trees, animals, birds and planes. They draw their favourite games. They draw themselves, their family and friends, but they also draw their hopes and dreams.
In this artwork, we invite you to join us on a journey through a magic forest of drawings, paintings and activities!
LEARN MORETIDE
I created this artwork to draw attention to the dangers of pollution and the harm it causes to the environment.
Press the button next to the circular mechanism and experience what it’s like to be floating among the waves!
LEARN MOREWHEN I AM WITH YOU
This artwork is filled with the things I love the most. The ocean and its intertidal areas are full of amazing wildlife. I hope we will learn to befriend and respect the animals and their home.
LEARN MORECOMPOUND
The title of this artwork refers to the many different shapes that you can find here. As you walk around the sculpture, play with the colours, shapes and lines that form around it. Be careful as you explore around, hold an adult's hand if you need to!
LEARN MOREOPTICAL PATHS
In this work, I would like to invite you to put yourself anywhere within the space, and discover how you feel and what you see in different areas. Some parts of the space may make you appear smaller or bigger.
LEARN MOREWE MOVE THIS CITY
This artwork is toddler-friendly!
This artwork is all about what transport in the future could look like. Use the blocks to create your own vehicles or take a ride in the futuristic MRT cabin. Let’s imagine a new way of moving together!
LEARN MOREHUTAN
This artwork is toddler-friendly!
We invite you to enter the world of HUTAN. Listen. Do you hear sounds made by you, others, and those who were here before?
LEARN MORESAMA-SAMA (TOGETHER)
I named this space SAMA-SAMA. It means “together” in Malay. Every activity in this space is inspired by moments from my art studio and at home with Aira.
